  1. Hang it in the Louvre.
  2. You already knew as it’s a fairly obvious one.
  3. Let's give you what you want, shall we? If they are one of the top twelve ranked sides then they will be in the league for the top twelves sides. If they are one of the top twelve ranked sides then that will be because the clubs voted to change the criteria meaning they couldn't automatically be removed from the top grading because of financial issues. If they are one of the top twelve ranked sides for next year then it will show how weak we are as a sport, collectively. Helpful?
  4. Currently has River Plate v Boca Juniors should you want to see what is possibly the biggest derby in the world.
  5. In what is, in my opinion, the performance of the weekend, Arsenal Women do the unthinkable and go to Lyon and overturn a 2-1 first leg deficit by smashing the home side 4-1. Barcelona are still comfortable favourites for the title but a bit of WSL pride restored after Chelsea's capitulation earlier in the day.
  6. But they do have the highlights, which was the complaint here.
  7. I know it was his money and he can do what he wants but the sheer waste in all of Hughes' investment is just anger inducing.
  8. It's one page back, literally around posts you read and replied to. But to help you out:
  9. Certainly not. So, thankfully, it's good to know that it's not been London's level for most of its history, that we have a decent proof of concept in rugby league events played in and around London, and we know that we have an exciting sporting product that can engage new audiences. I guess we need to get it sponsored by a crisp company and get the NRL to properly commit to contracting the opportunities to see the sport before you'll buy into it though.
  10. Yup. London has been saved by the fans stepping in on a few occasions as well. But if we have to pretend that there is simply no interest then actual facts have to be avoided.
  11. We do agree that RL needs to be careful about discarding. However, RL has a history of reckless and wilful discarding which is why it is where it is.
  12. Forty years of unsupported mismanagement - during which the club has had periods of several thousand turning up and producing players good enough for other pro teams - is not really evidence of anything.
  13. Yup - it's to the credit of those (away from the Broncos) who have kept the junior clubs going in spite of pretty much every financial or performance support being stripped away.
  14. Obviously, there is. If there wasn't then you'd not be seeing virtually all of England/GB's highest attendances being in London. I do know though that you like to believe that nobody outside the pre-existing, very small communities that already have RL has any interest in the game because you, uniquely, have never been able to have a positive conversation with anyone new about the game.
  15. Division Four is always mad but seems especially so this year. They said on the radio yesterday that Walsall were 12 points clear in the middle of January.
  16. I do think Beaumont is a massive block to the game reaching a solution to most things. His ego is a problem as is the inability he shares with many of the other owners in genuinely believing the game's footprint can expand - as we can see by how they actively move to contract when given the choice. But he's very good for Leigh and Leigh are an example for other clubs to follow in terms of promotion, match day experience, investment etc.
  17. Seen this shared. Truro City and Carlisle United are in the same division next season.
  18. If you have a Bet365 account then the games are on their live stream.
  19. It is because it was the decider between the National League and the American League and there’s a shortage of options for your play off series if you can’t use American or National but you still want to sell it.
  20. Three points between first and seventh
  21. Not for everyone but currently on the BBC iPlayer and, in my view, a simply brilliant film. Hlynur Pálmason know what he's doing - and it's a lovely performance by his daughter at some key moments as well.
