  1. Georgia started on the wing today with Evania Pelite at fullback, Georgia had a good game and scored her first try for the club and kicked 4 goals. She looked quite sharp with ball in hand, it was good to see her play the last 5-10 minutes at fullback.
  2. Hollie Mae Dodd becomes the first English player to officially sign for an NRLW club, Canberra Raiders. Congratulations to her and hopefully more to follow.
  3. Hollie-Mae Dodd has just been officially announced by the Raiders, maybe they are happy for her to have a home farewell appearance. can’t wait to watch, it’s live on YouTube so I’ll be able to view it.
  4. I know at least one club are considering an offer for Tara but I’m not sure if she would even accept. Her partner also plays for York Valkyrie, so that could go against a potential move unless they come as a duo.
  5. Agree, A Saints pack would potentially look like this; Crowl Jones Hoyle Travis Rudge Jodie C with Vicky Whitfield coming off the bench. that is still the best pack in the league in my opinion. Zoe Harris is class and hopefully Faye Gaskin can stay fit & healthy although I heard she did her hamstring a little while ago.
  6. Bousquet is in the best form of his career at the moment imo. Does anyone know when the centre Legguere is back from injury ?
  7. I think Tara, Caitlin Beevers & Leah Burke would go well in the NRLW.
  8. I really hope they play Jodie at number 6 especially now Roche looks like she won’t be available. That would allow room for a bigger pack as it was a bit small v the Kiwis in the WC.
  9. I don’t know if it’s true but I heard Hollie Dodd was emotional after last weeks win v Leeds as it was her last game before heading over to the NRLW. If true that is a big loss for York but they do have depth as shown with Grace Field & Rhi Marshall on the bench. My gut feel is that Saints will be fired up for this one and even though their backs are weak they are still strong in the forwards & halves.
  10. Well it actually makes the WSL a bit more even, all the clubs are loaded with younger players now. saints lost 4 internationals and have replaced them with young talents and now it looks like Leeds lose 2 of their gun players.
  11. It’s exciting in my opinion, Georgia Wilson is already out here playing well in a strong competition so I hope she gets a start too. Caitlin Beevers & Leah Burke would both go well too.
  12. Unfortunately won’t be on in Australia, should be a really interesting game with so many questions, how will Georgia Hale go and will Amy Hardcastle play in the forwards ? if she does I’m not sure how she will handle the big York pack. I think the difference will be Leeds have the edge in the halves.
  13. I really hope a club takes a chance on at least one English player, Georgia Wilson is currently playing well and will get better and there’s rumours Georgia Roche could get an offer.
  14. Jack Croft is playing for Wynnum too, scored a try last week but seems to have a bad mistake in him every game.
  15. Not exactly sure but they have lost 4 internationals in; Amy Hardcastle-Leeds Rhinos Beth Stott-Retired Carrie Roberts- Retired I think Rachel Woosey - Rugby Union Plus Faye Gaskin who is coming back from long term injury is injured again plus Paige Travis hasn’t been training due to illness I believe.
  16. Fantastic news, I am interested to see how Saints go this season with a much weaker squad. Hopefully some of their younger players will step up.
  17. She started at fullback today for South Logan Magpies in their win over Wynnum Manly. She had a few nice touches and made one mistake. Its clear that she is still finding her way in a new team and her involvement should only get better but certainly showed enough including a try saving and probably match saving tackle on her opposite Julia Robinson. it was a frustrating game to watch, both teams dropped too much ball.
  18. I was disappointed to miss seeing how she got on but great to see she has kept her place in the team. Also hopefully getting to see Georgia Wilson play tomorrow if I don’t get called into work.
  19. It’s a reasonably strong squad with depth in the forwards but not much depth in the halves and outside backs so hopefully don’t pickup too many injuries. Anyone know why Grace Field is so far down the list ?
  20. Wow that’s a huge rise in numbers, obviously Fiji, Tonga & Samoa plus Wales but not sure where the other 4 teams will come from. It would be great if the USA were one of them.
  21. I said last week on this forum that Leeds have a real problem with Sezer & Austin who are both way past their best. I really hope young Sinfield can cement his position in the halves when he gets his chance. Richie Myles is another who looks like age is catching up with him. Positives though were I thought Sangare & Holroyd were good and can’t wait to add Bentley and Oledzki to the pack. My man of the match was Cameron Scott.
  22. Leeds have a real problem on their hands with Sezer & Austin who are 2 of the highly paid players at the club. Sadly they just aren’t good enough anymore.
  23. I saw one of the French World Cup squad players is going to Australia, hopefully to link up with a RL team. It is Perrine Monseratt and she is a tall backrower
