  1. I had two foxes playing/displaying on the road outside my house at 2.30 am on Monday. The blighters woke me up.
  2. Always good to see them. I saw a peacock, a comma and a small tortoiseshell here in the Calder Valley yesterday.
  3. By 'eck, Bradford's on the up and getting gentrified.
  4. It's a good time of year to spot them. When the leaves are out and they are high up in the trees, it can be a challenge to spot them. Some of the males can have a reddish part of the head stripe which can mean that they can get misidentified as fire crests in spring.
  5. Welching on your previous post eh?!
  6. Another rare bit of football knowledge from Jon. ?
  7. Some people like moaning and negativity. it's a good job it's not like that in rugby.?
  8. Not quite time to get the thong, the factor 30 and the barbecue out yet?
  9. More Powers to your elbow.
  10. Whiskey would have been involved then.
  11. It has a Scientific Society at least!
  12. These thing don't move quickly but no doubt the financial investigation wallahs in UEFA will have the odd suspicion. ?
  13. Man City not abiding by the financial fair play rules? Knock me down with a feather; a feather sponsored by City's special feather partner of course.
  14. You are kidding.
  15. What about Timmy Mallett?
  16. I missed this in December for some reason. Arty McGlynn, guitarist who had a big influence on how the guitar was used in Irish traditional music. He had a dry Ulster wit. Non-trad fans may recall his contributions to some of Van Morrison's stuff. https://www.irishtimes.com/culture/music/arty-mcglynn-tributes-paid-to-monster-musician-and-real-gent-1.4120490
  17. I've seen quite a lot of fieldfares but not so many redwing. Also, there appear to be quite a lot of migrant blackbirds around my patch. The berries disappeared very quickly when we had some cold days.
  18. Very sad. The poor young women.
  19. Ruiz looked like he'd been living off the fat of the land. He performed as if he hadn't envisaged a fight different in nature from the first contest, despite his pronouncements in the run up to the fight about how he expected Joshua would box and how he was ready tactically.
  20. Jonathan Miller. Writer, director etc
  21. Still plenty of berries out here in the sticks and plenty of insects about when it's not peeing it down.
  22. "To be fir, there's nothing wrong with giving one's home a spruce up." he opined.
