Thats my point. The starting front row could be argued as impact players, too; I wouldnt say playing 80 minutes is their strength..
-
Its a very decent team, but the bench doesn't bode well for a team not bursting with 80min efforts

Lovely. Thank you. -
Yes. My original comment said 'Harsh on Papali but there's better' There are better props than him kicking about. He's make the squad, but in an injury free team, he doesnt make Aussies best 17. Suaalii is not ahead of Holmes, Addo Carr, Gagai in the context of having to win a semi final against NZ and then a final. He just isn't. It's the continuing hyperbole of of players that last week put Dylan Brown in the highest class of NRL players that is just nonsense.
-
Dominated in origin. He's decent when his team are winning, offload comes into play etc. Too many errors and missed tackles to be classed as elite. He's not bang average. He's good. He's just not as good as Tino, Tapine, Fisher Harris, Haas et al
-
Called out on the constant bumming of players. Simply put, other than To'o, no one who is picked for Samoa would play for Australia.
-
Papali maybe, but Paolo is bang average.
-
I agree in the thinking that a lot of our players could be stars down there, but they instead play in an inferior comp and suffer as a consequence. I think we can win the world cup as our best 17 is not too far of theirs (2017 as evidence), but sadly, we don't have the experience of playing at that level when it matters as much as they do.
-
Do you disagree or are you just stumped because you're being called out?
-
Ok. Suaalii ahead of Tedesco, Turbo, Papz, Edwards, Mitchell, Manu and a few other Kiwis who could pay there. No thanks To'o. Yes. Absolutely. Crichton isn't in the same league of Wighton, Mitchell, Holmes, Manu, Staggs, Gagai, Paolo / Papali - Not above Tino, RCG, JWH, Bromwich, Carrigan, Collins, Fisher Harris, Nelson Harsh on Papali maybe, but there's simply better. You didn't mention Luai who could have partnered Cleary and as there's a dearth of quality 6s these days, he's very good. Samoa are very decent. Very. The hyperbole is making you look like one eyed trolls. Or children.

Out of the Samoan team, 1 maybe 2 would play for Aus/Nz. Let's respect the hell out of them, but we should be beating them if we want to win the WC

I'm also seeing issues wi trains. No tickets yet as the timetables aren't ready and some company is talking about replacement buses. **This is for WC Final. Soz

It's off topic, but give it 2 years and i'd be replacing Tedesco with Suaalii. Is To'o definitely playing for Samoa? That'd be nice, as he'd be first winger on the Aussie team sheet.

Its absolutely daft. -
They'll be competitive and have a decent team, but squad depth is a massive issue. They'll need to start well. The following season, a lot of top players become available; they'll need to hit on this as they'll be paying a fair bit of salary cap on 1 or 2 players. Get that wrong and they could struggle. A second team in Brisbane is huge from a TV deal perspective. Sets the standard for a new team in Perth or NZ given the TV impact again of those time zones.

Interesting. I really like Coates as a winger, but fair enough he's not there. I'm glad, though. -

Can you watch 'repeats'? I fancy this in morning instead of a) working and b) laughing at Sydney Rooster's claims on NRL based greatness.

I have a different view. The head coach needs to be able to delegate all of this, with the exception of being a leader, and then make decisions accordingly.

Alex Walmsley to miss Saints' run in.

Sigh. Lets have a chat November time. I'm incredibly bored of this Aussie centric arrogance.
