Watching Australia getting humiliated and nilled by the Kiwis, followed by Penrith getting turned over in the WCC
-
For the championship
-
Things are really heating up at the top of the game. Eboni Partington signed for York. Saints are really being challenged now, particularly with Wigan and Huddersfield making statements of intent. Great to see standards being raised
-
I wasn't surprised when Hull KR released him, he was underwhelming and not good enough for where Hull KR are aiming for. Will probably do a job for the Broncos though
-
Probably more than England RL received from UCLan. I wonder why they're only travelling with 16 players
-
So this long term international calendar is going well.................

Yes you're right I was imagining those empty seats -

I never stated what I want, nor is it relevant to this topic. I'm just stating a fact that there were a lot of empty seats throughout the game for a sell out. @Man of Kent would've had a field day -

Not sure we were arguing..............I asked you a question, which you never elaborated on. Feel free to define what proactive help you believe a governing body should provide to a private independent business within their remit -

They have many more hats than that. The biggest being the governance of the game which is under fire from the legal challenges and as a consequence insurance costs have skyrocketed which massively impacts the RFL’s bottom line and therefore their capability to provide support to other areas of the game -

You’ve already said they provided ‘passive help’ -

And what would that ‘team’ do that the club can’t? -

The RFL are not there to run the clubs themselves. They're also not based in Leeds -

Nope and nor with Fulham despite the dreamers wishes

4k seats more is not much bigger. Suburban grounds just don’t appeal and won’t attract the event crowd. You might as well host it at the Ricoh if that’s the level we’re aiming for
-
As you pointed out on another thread, the game needs to think bigger. The event crowd are not going to be inspired or enticed to go to the Cottage. If in London it needs to be at a top tier stadium
-
Because he’ll likely be the best winger in the Championship
-
Brentford and Fulham would be the worst of both worlds as choices for a London game. 1. It needs to be a high profile stadium to appeal to the event crowd 2. There isn’t enough latent rugby fans to fill a mid sized suburban ground. It would be like hosting it at the Stoop

We seem to never learn, and keep making the same mistakes over and over. Incredibly frustrating
-
That requires a bit of forward planning, and as has been revealed, Samoa aren't even confirmed for 2024 yet
-
Can't blame Myler for wanting to leave after learning that Matt Frawley might start ahead of him...................I'd similarly be insulted
-
I have considered this point, and believe it comes down to cost. The cost of hosting 4 teams - paying for their flights, putting them up in hotels etc is quite an expense and the extra revenue would likely not support it. I too would prefer a 4 nations concept but unless it involves Australia and NZ, I can't see it happening
