  1. Oh yes...
  2. Ouch!! Possibly because Ridyard spent all game spouting off at the ref....rather than concentrating on kicking the DG
  3. Not that I'm aware of!
  4. Heres a heads up...Next year its on 7th September!
  5. Is there a relevant area to discuss Masters RL? I wanted to say THANK YOU and well done to all those involved in organising the National Masters RL Festival in Blackpool on Saturday 9th September. 6 pitches with 6 games on each pitch takes some time and effort to sort out, then there is the food and drink in Blackpool Cricket Club after the game. Hats off to those who helped make it a fantastic event.
  6. Lets not get ahead of ourselves....Still Hunslet to play first....and even if we do beat them, we'd then face Doncaster! Whatever happens next we've had a fantastic run after the defeat by Cornwall. Cosidering we started the season 0 from 7 were finishing it off brilliantly.
  7. Back from a weekend of Rugby league. Saturday reffing and playing in the National Masters RL Festival in Blackpool. Some light refreshments in the evening. Then up and off to Boundary Park for a nerve shredding game against Oldham. Incredible second half again from North Wales Crusaders, I thought it would be close but that was too intense! Huge thank you to the fabulous Roughyeds supporters; always a great bunch and very generous with their praise for our team.
  8. Dons played really well last weekend and will continue in good form to beat Hunslet. North Wales Crusaders had a fantastic second half last weekend. Can we do it again? I'm putting us down to win by 4 points.
  9. Couple of questions to the Yeds supporters from North Wales Crusaders fans: Q1: Are we OK to bring flags and hand them up in Boundary ParK? We've had issues with this before. At Whitebank they don't like them hanging over the advertising hordings, which is understandable, but they did let us put them up on the fencing. However in Doncaster the head steward wanted to see fire certification for the flags! (OTT or what!) Q2: Can we bring a drum? Or rather will we be allowed to bring a drum into the stadium Looking forward to the game!
  10. Great day out in Workington yesterday. A very close first half but a powerful display by North Wales Crusaders in the second half to teh delight of the travelling supporters. Thanks to the Workington fans who congratulated us after the game and gave us a great reception in the club after the game. Diolch yn fawr iawn.
  11. If I put "super league fixtures" in the womens football comes up first followed by RL - and I never Google womens football. If I put just "super league" the results are rugby league related. How odd!
  12. I doubt les Dracs can be as bad as they were against Wigan....in fact I think that loss will spur them on. Catalans by 14
  13. Doncaster will edge Oldham in a close game. Obviously I'm backing Crusaders to win in Workington. Last time We visited we were up by 18 points but lost it by two with a dubious penalty awarded on the hooter. The day was memorable not just for the close loss but also the punctured tyre we discovered on our return to our minibus.....that and the Easter traffic led to a pretty miserable day out for us. This time its going to be our time.....It'll be close but I think we can do it.
  14. I'm pretty sure they must have done the same for Midlands Hurricanes this season. Theres definitely not undercover seating for 200 people where they're playing at the moment. Of course they'll be going into the actual Alexander Stadium next season which will be a huge space for the 'Canes. Not sure what their income source will be though.
  15. I don't think les Dracs will play that badly again. I'm sure McNamara will use the experience to boost the next games - if they don't, your prediction will more than likely be realised
  16. Catalans were terrible tonight. I was expecting a close game but it was anything but. Wigan by far the better team. Catalans looked like they'd given up after 20 minutes. Definitely their worst performance this season.
  17. I think Rochdale were fortunate to receive 2 points and the win. Remember that Skolars travelled to Rochdale for the original fixture which was called off very close to kick-off time. I dont think Hornets received any sanction for that. From reading other posts its not entirely clear who made the decision to call the original game off.
  18. I'm an optimist - but thats way off yet!
  19. Someone showed me that at our Masters training session last night. Cracking try! It it was a SuperLeague team. the Sky pundits would be doing summersaults!
  20. A couple of juicy fixtures for the last weekend of League 1. Could Cornwall repeat their victory over Crusaders? Will Dewsbury keep their foot on the gas at the top? Will Workington field a weaker team knowing they cant get any higher up the table? But most importantly, will North Wales Crusaders hold onto their 6th place and beat London Skolars? My predicted winners are: Rochdale by 6 Dewsbury by 2 North Wales Crusaders by 30 Oldham by 20 Hunslet by 16
  21. https://www.rugby-league.com/article/62072/betfred-league-one-round-17-rochdale-hornets-versus-london-skolars 48 - 0 to Hornets
  22. The original game at Hornets was called off due to the appalling weather - after Skolars had already traveled to Rochdale. Skolars players aren't full time and I doubt they could take time off work to travel to Rochdale (again) on a Wednesday. I don't like to see cancelled games either but lets look at the circumstances before calling teams to be booted out. Edit: I posted this before reading some of the other replies; sorry if theres some repetition
  23. Theres always that permutation to add into the mix. If we draw Hornets would have to beat Cornwall by over 130 points. I think if we win were in 6th....finger are crossed, squeeky bottom time!
  24. If the RFL award Hornets the game 48 - 0 they'd still be on -89 to Crusaders +41 going into the last game - very long odds indeed!
  25. Great to see Wheelchair RL back on the small screen again. Congratulations to Catalans. A strong performance from an excellent wheelchair team.
