  1. That's the trouble you never know what actually happened.
  2. No it was definitely not available option last time.
  3. Just a small thing it's McGuire not Maguire. And I mean by legal representation in regards to an appeal and we're the evidence would hold up in a different legal settings, but I am not a legal expert and will leave it to them.
  4. I think it's probably the tone of some responses to posters who view things differently than the majority
  5. I am not a lawyer so as a punter you would expect the professionals to eventually sort this out. The ball's in McGuire's court, if he.is adamant he is innocent he has to appeal,if he doesn't no matter what he may say he legally labelled an unbelievable witness(I wasn't sure I could use the single word).
  6. That's what will put an end to this one way or another if he appeals,he would obviously take legal advice.
  7. It clearly states Thier is no actual recording or credible witnesses outside of the two parties but basically used the view that Charnley was more credible and believable than McGuire is was basically the opposite. That may well be true but I wonder in any other sport or court settings would that be good enough to provide a guilty verdict. That's not to say Charnley is not telling the truth just from a legal point of view.
  8. I suppose if I want to be popular I should have a good hard look at myself.
  9. Just for your benefit Rob, this is my 35th post (way too many) One implying Leigh (not the best) Four naming or implying charnley over way it was reported. None supporting McGuire Most were answering side issues used by posters (not directly concerning incident) and posts explaining my response to them. Several complaining about the RFL discipline system when judging serious foul play and abusive language. But most posters think I am all okay with McGuire abusing Charnley, I think McGuire is an idiot and have no sympathy with him. I just would have dealt with it as a person differently but that's probably due to my age and never reporting anything to authorities. Society deals with things differently now.
  10. You have obviously not read all my posts, but what you choose to take out of posts is up to you.
  11. Not at all, I just answered a comment that said there were no consequences. Please read all the post and what I was responding too. As with most responses to the posts on this topic people have already decided I support McGuire when I have not wrote any support.
  12. Humour please stop There was always consequences, if it occurred on the field it was usually violent. I agree society is clamping down on abuse but now there are sections that look for ways to be offended then proceed to abuse the people accused.
  13. No worries just a bit of humour when lots of posters are getting irate, I am from Leigh (when I moved to Warrington they said that was a disability). Did you hear the comment or read about as after like the rest of us, because I doubt you left LSV in an angry state after the match especially if you were unaware of it. On McGuire I don't disagree with your view of him it maybe my age because I have had a disabled brother (wheelchair bound his whole life) disabled (mentally) relatives who were and some still are season ticket holders but any comments insulting them I would directly respond and if no apology deal with it, like I say it maybe my age as I don't get as offended as younger people.
  14. I will not go through the process of arguing one or the other because it's not black and white it's individual, I replied to OF ABIT quick and should have put a slightly different response which after he replied I explained. I will not quote were my experience comes from because as I stated it's individual on how both terrible abuses effect people.
  15. I not read many posts actually supporting McGuire, even Warrington fans think he is stupid and has been a poor signing and I have not Found any support for him not having his contract termination.
  16. Is certain people saying thats OT when it shows how statements can be seen from various stances, people write statements and they see how they think other people will read it, but it can be read totally different. You and OF see the statement as highlighting that mental abuse can in certain circumstances be more long lasting than physical abuse, but all I wrote is that is not as black and white and showed an example where it showed the opposite. Reality is both can have long lasting effects.
  17. At least you replied rather than post a stupid emoji, sorry you feel that but it's what I thought when I read it.
  18. Then next time a wife goes to the hospital with her face stoved in the doctor will say don't worry these injuries will soon heal,it could be worse he could have called you names.
  19. Plenty of posters on here have quoted perception of sports image, well crowds come into that.
  20. Looks like he finished with his contract to be terminated in next few days, but even though it's 2023 you have to look at the way the RFL react to things( nothing to do with Leigh or Charnley) Cas fans homophobic chanting against Gareth Thomas (paltry fine, when the club could have forced to play behind closed doors) Ben Flower on our biggest stage (and this is shown regularly on sports dirtiest player's clips) in comparison received a light ban, Gil Dudson not far behind Flower received a 5 match ban(he really only served 4). I know lots of posters on here are applauding the RFL stance ,but what happens when crowd chants cross the line and there will be plenty every week the referees parentage is questioned. People should always be careful what they wish for, there are growing numbers of people out there who find it very easy to be offended against (and they don't have to be present). The only thing that provides some sort of protection is we are only a tiny sport and most people don't notice or care about RL.
  21. There is a difference in a forum like this were (without abusing) you can debate a topic and you don't have to believe that view you are posting, that's what debates are for. I would never behave in real life that way I am very tolerant and generally keep my opinions within my family.
  22. No mine was just in jest, even I could see the irony in your post, don't worry I am not looking for support.
