It was alright. I've been spoiled recently by binge listening to the IWM's Voices of the First World War podcasts. -

Uninteresting Trivial Facts

I have no fear of flying, which is good as I am on tour, with my band. But I am regularly filled with dread when I see a fatty waddling down the centre aisle, and it's the nearest to praying that I've come in my life hoping that they won't be placed next to, or spilling into my seat. I have to credit one particular airline who appear to have an excellent contingency in play. The steward/stewardess spots a fatty, and immediately asks their seat number, and repeats it loudly so that their colleague can move any adjacent person to the exit seats (usually empty as they cost more) before fatty lands. When it's full though it can't be nice. It's an excellent strategy, the fatty doesn't benefit but others do not suffer. Extra legroom isn't where it's at, it should be extra width. -

On my flight this morning, I'm on tour with my band, there was a young american woman who was so big that just walking down the aircraft was such an exertion that she was dripping with sweat by the time she got to row 6. I dread to think what state she was in by the time she got to her seat. -

At the moment I am reading an ESTA form. It's good stuff. Have you ever been or are you now involved in espionage or sabotage; or in terrorist activities; or genocide; or between 1933 and 1945 were you involved, in any way, in persecutions associated with Nazi Germany or its allies? -

I once cleaned her guttering. It was the last time I saw her. It remember her shouting "Thankyou for the Jeyes" as I pulled off her drive. Good times. -

Amazing, I love them. I could lose hours looking at those, if I didn't have to go back on stage, with my band. Kenny has the effect for sure. How is it done? -

Yes I noticed that too. There was also an Eddie Waring reference. He retired about 35 years ago, and we're still not rid of that image! -
I don't see how this is relevant. I have little or no issues with animals being used for medical research, but I have huge issues with them being used for cosmetic products like shampoo and makeup. Kids go into the army for a number of reasons; Employment, travel, camaraderie, stupidity, adventure etc . I don't remember seeing any recruitment posters or adverts saying "come and join up and kill people". I have little or no issues with animals being killed for their meat, I just expect it to be done humanely. I don't feel bad about rabbits being killed for meat, again so long as it's done humanely. Shock horror, I have poisoned rats in my garage and I don't feel bad about it as I don't believe that it's good to coexist in the same property as them. It's not really a conundrum for me. Killing animals for fun is pathetic.

What is tilt-shift? So much of the picture seems out of focus. What am I missing here? -
Thanks, I had a good read and will print off a few of those and leave in the car. I'd guess the reduction in numbers is down to habitat change. I saw one close up two weeks ago whilst cycling, one ran out of a field into the lane I was on and ran up the lane in front of me for about 40 yards until there was another gap where it went back into the field. I was doing over 20 mph, and I didn't make any ground up on it. As for lamping, I struggle to understand the motives of people who kill for fun.

One team was comprised of a group from a Dr Who online forum with a sub forum for Only Connect chat. I half expected John Drake to be on.
