  1. I think the club has to think long and hard about if CT is the right coach to take the club forward and out of the present situation,
  2. Another big attraction to the amateur players to go towards Whitehaven will be Jonty Gorley, a good local and respected coach. I've been told by a few lads that have left Town, CT is a good coach but his man management skills are very poor, and to get the best out of every player,
  3. The club have to prioritise the recruitment of local players asap, but the club has to find out if they don't already no why somany locals have left the club this season, then rectify the problem,
  4. That's so very true, it's also been able to identify the players who will want to play and work towards making it in the semi pro game,
  5. Wasent at the game last night but I'm sure a couple of the Elbra players will have been X town players last night, and both players return to Elbra this season.
  6. But I'm sure John Walsh and radio Cumbria would jump at the chance to get the word out, it seems they want to try and do it themselves, I'm sure more pr would help,
  7. I have been in contact about a couple of things but if you pm me i will explain a couple of other things,
  8. The Rfl promised everything when they wanted to take control of the amateurs game, gave it everything at the start, then fazed it out, no Reginal development officers now, no replacement for Marnie after all the great work she done in the community, but back to Town, has anyone actually seen the 5 year plan that the club were working on, it would be good to see what the club has been working on, also will it be feasible to carry on after been relegated, or will it have to be changed, one thing I would be doing to help the club go forward, would be to speak to Barrow and try to copy some of the stuff they have done, they have financial stability and a good working relationship with the amateur clubs in the south of the county.
  9. With relegation the club will have to regroup and put a new plan in place for the future, both on and off the field.

He also left his opposite number to let them in for a simple try, also put on his back side trying to defend, but at present no other options,

Scot didn't do bad, their forwards were tough and up fast on us, we lost a couple early on with injury's, London a lot better team than Bradford, played some nice rugby,

London out classed us, and Leyland was outstanding for them. Think London will be a lot game than Bradford, so a win for London sadly,
  13. I'm sure if the club had been more transparent earlier on in the season the club would not have been in the position of asking players to make a pay cut s ect, the loyal supporters would have got on board straight away and raised the funds required then

Think London will be a better team than Bradford, town will struggle against them,
  15. Watched the game last night, thought both teams were evenly matched, but in the latter stages of the game it was the desire from the the Bradford players that secured them the win, I thought schooley worked his socks off in the first half, in both attack and defence but he tired later on, but that's inevitable as being out for so long with that injury.
  16. Sorry but I don't think it is out of order, from one week saying we have the cash to bring in players, then we are skint, come on. The way people have ralighed around and raised the cash for the club to survive is fantastic, but we have to have more transparency on what's is actually going on.
  17. The biggest problem this season has been the lack of transparency between the club and the supporters, and the way the supporters have been lied to about recruitment and how the club had the finances to recruit suitable players when they became available, now is the time to come clean and let the supporters help build for the future, but this will take transparency between everyone.
  18. Thorman has said a lot in interviews that has never materialised, I only listened to it on the radio and it sounded like a new team playing yesterday ?

Better than some of the traveling ###### left,
  20. I've spoke to a couple of lads who he has coached, they say he is a decent coach but his man management skills are very poor, and it's so important to have both when coaching.
  21. Not according to some of the local players pal,
  22. A meeting should be called with the b o d and the supporters, just to clear the air and come clean on what has gone wrong both finacaly and on the field, tomany lies been told by the club/coach over the last few months, and a line must be drawn under it all, the club must realise that a joint effort will raise the cash that can get the club back up and running, to push the club forward and out of this situation.
  23. Especially when you are told, take it or leave it, and you have 3 days to decide as the transfer cut of date is on Friday,
  24. To me the board have forced the players in to a corner, you either take a 33% pay cut or find another club, and by the way you only have till Friday to decide as that's the Rfl cut off date 22nd july for transfers, this situation hasn't just happened over night, more to this than what they are saying.
  25. Who ever agreed to give him a contract for that leinghth of time should be ashamed of them selves, how many clubs give out contracts like that, especially full time contracts,
