  1. Wasn’t there a meeting yesterday at the RFL to decide the format for Championship and League One structure. I can’t find anything in the press.
  2. A couple of seasons ago someone chose between Newcastle and Hornets who should be promoted. Anyone accountable for that? It’s a shame about Newcastle but was it not predict? I wonder if IMG will take notice of this .
  3. Great signing. Should we be in the playoffs, can he play?
  4. Even stronger next season probably.
  5. Could be a lesson to be learned regarding Hunslet . They spent big but ended up losing at home to N.Wales infront of 600 or so spectators. They used the loan system too but came unstuck with 5 players ineligible for the playoffs. I hope we don’t go down that road. It will be tough again next season with Newcastle and one other coming down plus the loser of Doncaster and N.Wales plus Workington and big spending Oldham. But let’s hope we have a squad to compete , certainly a good start with early recruitment.
  6. One of the best loose forwards I’ve seen in a Hornets shirt.
  7. RFL need to sort it quick. How can an eight home game division be attractive to sponsors.
  8. This season is over. Bring on next season. I purchase a season ticket, I pay into the squad builder, I’m in the Lottery. As a pensioner I can’t do much more . I’m a member of All Hornets who do a fantastic job. I am also in Mayfield’s lottery and I enjoyed Matt Callands time in charge with local lads in the squad. I realise it didn’t pay off and I’m sure Gary Thornton deserves a season with more backing. Good luck to everyone at the club for next season.
  9. A team that’s 152 years old turned up for the game yet a team 20 years old didn’t. IMG take nore
  10. Skolars game still being shown on BBC rugby league fixtures.
  11. Possibly because both teams might go up next season.
  12. We might have an advantage on Sunday because Oldham have more important and tougher game on Wednesday , no disrespect to the Skolars but Workington are playing for a home tie in the playoffs.
  13. Most rugby supporters would watch both teams if possible.
  14. Got to feel sorry for the Skolars they’ve got to go to Hunslet on the Sunday then us at Spotland on Wednesday then N.Wales away 4 days later , having not won a game all season.
  15. Great game and loads of effort yesterday. The difference was Beharrell. The Leigh lads could just help us scrape into the playoffs but really it’s all about next season .
  16. They all knew the risks and got paid to play. Amateurs paid to play, you don’t see them in the courts.
  17. Have Oldham got players who signed to play under Littler? If so those players may now be looking elsewhere . It could go either way, galvanise or implode. The Hornets v Oldham game should be a belter and hopefully a good crowd with the main stand fully open.
  18. Well that must be the worst season for our run of away game’s conceding over 30 points in all five games. Absolutely no income in all that time to make the team stronger. We just have to get through this terrible season.
  19. This season we are shopping at Aldi a new coach would be still be shopping at Aldi . This coach has a proven record .
  20. I too started watching in the sixties and there have been many more lows than highs. The lowest for me was when we were nilled at home to Doncaster and had about 200 watching . I couldn’t see better times coming even though we owned the ground then but they came through it and we had the great Myler and Koslett eras. I just hope you and other supporters stick with it because if it goes it’s gone forever. The club seem to be involving all parts of the community and attracting youth is the only way to attract new supporters. Less and less of us diehards left now but passionate people like Andy and Carl and others I know are doing their best.
  21. Great effort against a much bigger side . A couple of individual mistakes cost us the game . Should have been a sin binning just before halftime but nothing from very poor officials.
  22. Billsborough for N.Wales got sin binned for striking in last Sundays game versus Hunslet but there doesn’t seem to be anything in the disciplinary.
  23. Yes, I think Mr Kilshaw is in the top ten coaches in League One, well, tenth actually.
