  1. I know. For those that know me I don't usually gloat. Rugby League games quickly become history. We lost to a better side. Leigh will lose one day though it might not be in the near future . Dewsbury will win one day too. I wonder which scalp they'll take?. It's Rugby League and we love it.
  2. Let's give Batley the respect they deserve. Top notch team spirit and great attitude. Wish we had some of that at the moment.
  3. They need to put Leigh and Batley into Super League and make a 14 team league. That'll be the next media output
  4. Don't blame me for this post. Blame Batley for being a better side Dewsbury will be fancying their chances next.
  5. That might stop everyone and his dog for saying it's going to be a Leigh v Fev final. Well played Batley.
  6. Though he had Hall to pick and didn't.
  7. Come in a taxi. Most supporters do. Don't shoot me down that's my early week joke Can't wait. Batley gave us a great match at yours and they are the sort of games to watch. Just as long as Fev sneak it
  8. Many young fans look up to Hall has he comes across as the ultimate professional on and off the field. He should be an ambassador to the club not driven away. Obviously the whole business is clouded in rumour and nobody seems to know what's gone off. To me the coach/ manager should be the bigger person in trying to resolve matters. If you want Super League you have to use your best players not upset them because by upsetting one player usually amounts to upsetting others. As a side note I think the late great Peter Fox would have nipped this in the bud.
  9. By the time Batley visit us next week it will be three years since a British side beat Fev at Post Office Road in the championship. Barrow won in June 2019 16-38. In the same season Dewsbury beat Fev 12-32. That's some record. Hope that hasn't given The gallant youths an incentive.
  10. It's an indictment of the lack of young lads coming through the amateur game. Top clubs are now under pressure to sign experience hence they are older. How long can it last though without a reserve system of some kind that we are never going to get soon. Sad state of affairs.
  11. He was a fans favourite at Fev and I hope he does well for Dewsbury.......At least if you win a game it will keep Coolie off our forum.....Onny joking Coolie
  12. Coolie, Fev fans need to realise there's always somebody worse off than themselves....and you are testimony to that. It's scandalous losing a game but sadly in your case a lot of games. If Liam Finn is half as good a coach as he was a player you could be in for a treat yet
  13. The thing is Dog forever we can't influence anything at Batley.(good team as they are) But do you expect us to say goodbye to Mark Campbell and have no ambition.
  14. Yes at 18-12 the game looked like swinging towards Fev at that point but we were always at maximum trying to keep them at bay. They are a terrific and powerful side and a crowd of 4226 watching two championship sides from either side of the Pennines on a Monday night and on TV puts some of the lower Super League attendances to shame. How many would that game attracted on a Sunday afternoon?
  15. We are a top notch team who put a hard nights graft in against a very good side. My only worry is the gossip surrounding Hall. You can't leave your best talent out if you want super League. Well done Rovers and Well done Leigh. I think for the neutral that would have gone down well.
  16. Coolie, I know thousands of fans do, but with the predicament that Dewsbury find themselves in. Do you as a dedicated Rugby league fan sometimes wake up in a sweat and wondered why you wasn't born in Featherstone? I wouldn't worry too much cos I'm sure we will be playing each other next season.
  17. Our line defence is not top notch and Leigh thrive on scoring from close range unlike previous Leigh sides who loved throwing the ball wide at speed. They are an excellent defensive side also and it will be difficult to come back with the points this time. Having said that then take away that last minute blunder at Tottenham then that game would have finished with just eight points between the sides despite Leigh's second half superiority. So they are not unbeatable.
  18. I would think that if a coach brought every player off who made mistakes then we probably wouldn't have a game to watch by the the full time hooter. Persistent mistakes in one game is a different matter but it's better not to take rumours as fact unless it comes from the horses mouth.
  19. Similar to Whitehaven match when they nearly scored in the opening seconds. In this modern day it's difficult stopping a good side getting a roll on once they've scored quick successive tries. Though it did appear on some highlights I've seen that our second try was probably a knock on but it wouldn't have stopped Fev from getting a roll on.
  20. Hall is pivotal to our success and if it's true that he was brought off for reasons mentioned and knowing we had no other recognised goal kicker then the coach needs to have a look at himself. However things tend to get blown up out of all proportion. Perhaps Hall had a tweak of a muscle or something. Who knows?. Players of Halls ability likewise Chizzy before him need to be allowed to play what they see in front of them whether right or wrong. Fev without Hall in our run up is unthinkable.
  21. If you ever lose contact with Coolie. The best way to find him is on the Fev forum
