  1. Having 10 teams is an absolute shambles. It prevents smaller teams from participating on the big stage. How is the sport supposed to grow. Yet still having the number of women and wheelchair sides at 8 is a joke. I was looking forward to having it at 16 all across the board. Whoever is behind this needs a kick up the backside. The game is going into reverse. It's bad enough having it in 2026. Just do the right thing and have it in 2025 with the original number of teams. You have to point the finger at France for starting this saga. We know by having 10 teams competing it will be the usual sides who would always take part in the final competition.
  2. Good to see that my other homeland has Rugby League as a recognised sport. Now they can officially play without fear of having their games stopped by police. This should kick start a new era of getting people to watch and/or play the sport. Though to be fair the funding needs to be there to make sure this full on succeeds. It would also be nice to have some international matches being played in the country. Would be nice to know what the local media would make of this. To put it in a way many people know it as from one Chris Kamara 'Unbelievable Jeff'.
  3. I have to disagree about what the title says. We can match them. In fact Headingley is closer to all the pubs bars and restaurants than Bloomfield Road. You also have the choice of going into Leeds which is around 10 or so minutes away by bus. Not to forget that you also have the nightlife that rugby league fans can enjoy whether it is after the matches on Saturday or before those on Sunday. We have a ground that can fit around 19-20k in which means a few thousand extra fans can be in attendance which includes a choice of terracing and seated areas something that Blackpool's ground doesn't have. Obviously people will have different opinions but this is mine. Don't mean to sound bias but i think Headingley can beat Blackpool.
  4. They will be available to re watch once Our League makes it update their website. You will even have the chance to see the highlights on the website and on Cornwall's youtube page.
  5. Regarding where British Aerospace played. I looked on google and it seems they used to play in the area that is housing next to the tram tracks and opposite Spring Brook Upper School. Someone correct me if I am looking at the wrong place.
  6. You will be heading to the wrong place. Its actually tacking place at Headingley on those days.
  7. The are having their player trials today. They have already got a couple of signings and their first ever coach.
  8. Ridiculous idea. Having 1 point drop goal makes the game more interesting. The NRL have ruined the sport down under by make it 2 points if the attempt is made from more than 40 metres out. Luckily it’s only in their competition where as in all other domestic comps and on the international level it’s only 1. Union on the other hand have changed from having a 40:20 to a 50:22.
  9. My guess is Fev v Bradford with Leigh playing Widnes and Halifax facing Sheffield.
  10. Urm obviously not. Do you always act in a sarcastic way?
  11. Cornwall RLFC will be the newest member of the RFL who will make their debut in 2022 in league 1. They will play their matches from the Memorial Staduim in Penryn. Good luck with their new adventure.
  12. From what I know is there will be an Ottowa Aces team playing from next though they will be based in England until the Covid situation in Canada is under control.
  13. Regarding the attendance is that not only was the game played on a different day but Leeds has a big Caribbean community which includes a sizeable Jamaican contingent. The attendance was 2250 which is over 4k less than when they played at Headingley in front of 7113.
