Fixtures to re-arrange

If and when we have a 'home' we have North Wales at home to re-arrange and now South Wales at home to re-arrange as the next round of the Cup is Sunday 16th May

The only free weekend is Sunday 24th May - we cannot play North Wales as they are in the League 1 Cup final that weekend - so maybe we could re-arrange South Wales at home for that free weekend?

Just thinking about our away Cup draw - Fordy & the lads deserve a medal when you consider that by the end of May they will have already travelled to:

South Wales, London, Keighley, Oxford, Leigh, Swinton, St Helens, Gloucester & Newcastle

  • 2 weeks later...

Club website now says South Wales at home - Friday 22nd May - 8pm (which would be good for me)

Venue - Huntington Stadium????

I'm sure South Wales would be delighted with that, their players wouldn't be home until about 5 in the morning and they'd need to take a day off work on the Friday.

It's not going to be played at Huntington Stadium either, whatever the day.

True enough - just pointing it out cos last week it said TBC-22/23/24 May

Also says Friday night on the Scorpions website, but that looks a strangely familiar website....

Are the floodlights at Clifton Park suitable for night matches?

Not sure - missed the probs/poss game which was played on a night there recently but maybe the rules are tougher for a proper league game

The rules are tougher for league matches Col, you're right. For instance, a game such as the Poss v Probs, which was basically a training match, can be played anywhere with no special dispensation or prior approval by the RFL...

There's a joke in there for dem wot knows...
