First bit Simon - don't agree with some Andy's reply due to inaccuracies within it - and some of the other comments are best left as they are.

For the club to prosper and get proper financial backing from sponsors & investors to the tune of a £100k a year?? - The current 'new' board has only been in place for months - had a conversation a bit back (not with JG) about sponsors/investment etc and was told the biggest issue is the division we are in - promotion would make a massive amount of difference to who we could attract (not my words)

Yes - I want be up there competing with the likes of Fev & Dewsbury every year - will the right sort of right people invest if JG calls it a day? Not sure - heard rumours of people I would be happy with and others I wouldn't be happy with.

Didn't attract anyone or anything in 2006 & 2011, 12 &13 though. We were relegated straight away or spent 2 years at the bottom due to league restructures, in fact 1 season we had possibly the worst Knights side I'd ever seen when the club didn't spend any money as "we couldn't be relegated anyway". Those years were the chance to kick on but it never happened. Why not? We've spent 4 out of the last 10 years in the higher division so what was the problem then?

More chance if he does I reckon, bearing in mind nobody has with him in charge, other than a few small sponsors who got fed up and have nothing more to do with the club. 10 years of absolute pish needs to be looked at and questions asked.

 

Is the club and its supporters happy to languish in a division with virtual amateurs or does it want to progress. If it's the latter then EVERY SINGLE ASPECT of the club needs to be looked at, not just the coaching & playing.

The league season doesn't start until March, does anyone know if there is to be a pre season cup competition as there was last season?

League 1 cup 1st round 21st Feb - 2nd round 3rd April

Challenge Cup 3rd round 28th Feb - 4th round 20th March
