Season Launch Dinner a success

The Dons launched their 2017 season in style on Friday night as fans, sponsors, players and management enjoyed a night of stories (many of which cannot be repeated) and introductions to the latest members of the squad.

Guest of honour was Great Britain international Adrian Morley, who guided those in attendance through the many highs and one or two lows of his amazing career all prompted by MC for the night Robbie Hunter-Paul.

Robbie also had one or two tales of his own to tell, including one about his first meeting with current Leeds Rhinos head coach Brian McDermott (which was most definitely for the room only).

Gary Thornton introduced the 2017 Dons squad to the fans, backed up by last year’s Player of the Year, Louis Sherif giving us an hilarious insight into changing room banter, with captain Kyle Kesik being the main target of Louis’ banter.

The Dons enter competitive action this Sunday as they face Keighley Cougars in the iPro Cup at Cougar Park.

The first home game of the season is against Coventry Bears on Sunday March 5, 3pm kick-off, where the lads will be looking to kick off their Kingstone Press League One Campaign in stunning fashion and you can be there for as little as £12.50 (adult) per game with a Dons 2017 season ticket.
