Disclosure.... i know sod all about tech so please help.... and treat me as a bit simple for the sake of this request please.

I have an S8 smartphone. On hols i bought some Sudio bluetooth speakers for it but the volume is crapola, even on maximum.

Ive tried doing some research on portable amplifiers but its like nailing jelly t'wall trying to understand it.

So.... what do i need, where do i go to get it and what do i do??

Where are you listening? Outside? Inside? I've not used or looked at a mobile amp, however my JBL Bluetooth speaker is generally more than powerful enough for use indoors in a small room or outdoors, as long as you don't wonder too far from it. What are the exact speakers you've got?

Ah right, I'd not read it as headphones. 

At the risk of asking the obvious, have you turned the volume up on both the headphones and the phone? I've never had an issue with my Bluetooth headphones in terms of volume, but maybe I'm not as deaf as you. ?
