Trojan Posted August 24, 2019 Posted August 24, 2019 Lee Gap Fair, the oldest chartered horse fair in the country took place today. In the past it extended over three weeks, but now is confined to two dates First o' Lee (today) and Latter Lee 17th September. For anyone interested in old folk customs it's worth a visit. It takes place on Baghill Green, West Ardsley, just off the A653 Leeds to Dewsbury Road. https://www.facebook.com/groups/MorleySchoolMemories/1437933183011113/?comment_id=1437938679677230¬if_id=1566677555294110¬if_t=group_highlights “Few thought him even a starter. There were many who thought themselves smarter.
