What an absolutely superb night! Great welcome given to the new guys who all spoke warmly of their integration into the squad, players grateful to their sponsors, Linners eloquent in his reasons for why the squad is where it is and Kev, well, he was Kev, dry, funny and still crying the poor tale....brilliant. Like he says, opposing fans and the press have already discounted us, but reckons that coaches won't have.

I don't know any Fax fans who have discounted Batley. Your lads were one of last seasons success stories undoubtedly. I just hope you don't get off to a flying start.
