Hurricanes approaching…

….and hope that we can weather the storm after their fine win over Doncaster!    That we have been without home action and winless since late May does not help neither coffers, support nor player interests.  Perhaps next season the Balderstone project could provide a few home games during the period the Crown pitch is repaired? 
Need to start winning and ready for Mr Kilshaw’s Hunslet and especially for the neighbours 20/8 and a similar Hornets score!

Thought that was a very good display from both teams played on a really excellent playing surface. Although Hornets kept the scoreboard ticking they did fall away a little in the second half defensively, particularly on the left edge. The Hurricanes did. perform well with Murrell leading his troups and trying to referee but Hornets always had that that extra bit of guile. With Crusaders losing at home to Cornwall we are now back in the mix for the playoffs maybe.

Liked the agility in the first half and whilst Hurricanes were a big side, they couldn't stop the Hornets.  We tired a little towards the end.   

Pitch was excellent, still not at all clear on what was going on with the rules for walking rugby at half time, but amusing nonetheless.   And what happened with the catering?   Dale started with a new localish catering firm yesterday - as Quirky Catering didn't renew the contract.   Anything to do with that?

3 wins from 4 to be certain of the playoffs, with Hunslet, Oldham and Skolars ( date ?) at home and Cornwall away last.

2 wins will suffice if Crusaders lose to either Doncaster (next week) or London, both home.  Let’s not rely on needing 2pts at Cornwall!
