GERMAN EXILES will meet the RAF on Wednesday 22 July.
The match, at Sharlston Rovers, will kick off at 7.00pm.
Jay Kay – the co-founder of German Exiles – and his colleagues have arranged the game following the cancellation of last Friday’s fixture with the Prison Service, which was also due to be played at Sharlston.
That game failed to go ahead because of the Rugby Football League’s recently introduced regulation that players do not ‘double up’ over short periods.
Kay told League Express: “Both sides were struggling to field a team as the RFL has a one- game-in-a-weekend policy, that we adhere to.
“Some players were prioritising their ‘home’ club which is why we are going to start moving Exiles games against non-international sides to Wednesdays.”
