Huddersfield Giants have secured the services of utility back Jordan Tansey on a one-month loan.
The 29 year old has yet to make a Super League appearance for Wakefield this year and is set to go straight into Paul Anderson’s 19 man squad for the weekend’s game against Hull KR.
“A new face will give us a great lift after the difficulties we have faced in the first month of the competition,” said Giants managing director Richard Thewlis.
“I thank the Wakefield club for allowing Jordan the chance of top flight game action. He will join a squad that has a number of players shortly coming out of rehab and therefore hopefully give our coach some selection options across the board and in Jordan’s case his utility value will be very useful for us especially with Easter looming although under the terms of our agreement he cannot play against the Wildcats.”
