RFL officials are hoping for a capacity crowd at Saturday’s Super League Grand Final between Warrington Wolves and Wakefield Trinity.

With a first-time champion sure to be crowned, tickets are flying and the attendance could challenge the record 73,512 that attended the 2015 Grand Final between Leeds and Wigan.

The lower bowl has been completely sold out, with Warrington already having sold 15,000 tickets by Sunday, and Wakefield, having played their semi-final a day later, reaching the milestone on Monday morning.

Despite Wakefield’s shock 33-6 demolition of Wigan Warriors, Trinity go into the final as underdogs according to Super League sponsors Betfred, who give Daryl Powell’s side odds of 21/20.

The Wolves have been given odds of 5/6 by Betfred as Sam Burgess attempts to lead his Warrington side to glory after overcoming Leeds Rhinos in a classic on Friday night.
