England head coach Wayne Bennett has confirmed that captain Sean O’Loughlin, half back Sam Tomkins and hooker Daryl Clark will miss this Sunday’s Third Test against New Zealand at Elland Road, kick off 3.15pm.
O’Loughlin has been battling with a calf injury since the First Test win at Hull whilst Clark and Tomkins were injured in the victory at Anfield. Tomkins suffered a broken hand in the first half of the game but played on for the full game whilst Clark was forced to leave the field with a rib injury.
Bennett also confirmed that prop George Burgess will not appeal the four game suspension handed down by the disciplinary panel. Bennett will call in Richie Myler, Joe Greenwood and Stefan Ratchford to his squad to replace the three players who miss out from last week.
