Grima makes first signing as Broncos coach

London Broncos have announced the re-signing of Jonathan Wallace on a two-year deal.

The 19-year-old Malta international has played six Super League games so far this season after making his first-team debut against Wigan.

“I’m delighted to confirm Jonathan as my first signing at the club,” said Grima.

“He’s played six Super League games so far this season and has been impressive in all. He has a great work ethic in training and on the pitch. Jonathan has come through the junior ranks at the club which gives us extra satisfaction that we have some good systems in place to produce such talented players.”

Wallace said: “I’m really pleased to sign a new deal, things with Joey have been really positive so far, so I’ll be really glad to play under him for a further two years.

“To play six Super League games already in the season is a real positive and I feel I’m really coming on as a player.

“In terms of speed and physicality it’s a big step up from the under-19s. Even the training regime is a big shock on the body but I’m starting to get into it now. We’re focused on this season so I’m not thinking about next year yet. We’re trying to get some wins on the board. I want to stay in London. I love London, the club and the people so I’ll be around for a while.”
