Hall keen to retain England spot

Ryan Hall admits he is unsure about his England future, but hopes to be picked by Wayne Bennett ahead of the Four Nations.

Bennett will announce his first England squad ahead of the Four Nations next month, with the Leeds winger expected to keep his place.

However, Hall admits that there is some uncertainty surrounding selection, given Bennett’s appointment, but remains hopeful that he will earn another call-up after being a regular in the squad since 2009.

“It’s a new coach with new plans in place, so I’ll wait by my phone and see what happens. I was included in the meeting early on which was nice as I wasn’t playing at the time, but we’ll just wait and see.

“The last couple of years some good wingers have been coming through and pushing for international duties. Unfortunately a few people have been getting injured, but we’ll just have to see what Wayne Bennett thinks.”
