Harvey Barron signs new deal with Hull FC

HARVEY BARRON has signed a new two-year deal with Hull FC.

The winger, who had penned a deal to remain with the Black and Whites until the end of the 2027 season last year, has now signed a further two-year contract extension to keep him at the club until the end of 2029.

Barron has scored 25 tries in 44 appearances for the Black and Whites since making his debut against Toulouse in 2022.

Speaking after signing his contract extension, Barron said: “It was an easy decision to make.

“Over the years, the club has backed me a lot on and off the field, so when Richie came along and put an offer on the table, the only option for me was to sign it and I’m over the moon to be here for another four years and however many more in the future.

“I feel like, individually, last year was my best to date, so it’s great to have been offered a contract extension and a chance to sort my long-term future out – now I can just focus on playing rugby.”

Director of Rugby, Gareth Ellis, said: “Harvey’s development over the last couple of years speaks for itself. He’s a real athlete.

“Securing his services for an additional two years on top of his previous deal is a smart piece of business, because he is only going to get better year on year.

“I think fans can see how his body frame has grown in the last 18 months, which enables him to be a key asset for us in backfield, especially bearing in mind the faster rucks that will be in play this season.”
