Henderson suffers leg break as Roosters are pummelled by Cowboys

Former Bradford and Catalans hooker Ian Henderson broke his leg as the Sydney Roosters were thumped 40-0 by North Queensland Cowboys.

The game was coming to an end when Henderson went to tackle North Queensland Cowboys forward Ethan Lowe, but in the collision Henderson’s leg buckled underneath him and caused visible pain for the 32-year-old.

Henderson left Catalans at the end of 2015 to return to Australia for his third stint Down Under. He is currently in his second spell at the Roosters but it would appear his season might have been cut short.

It wrapped up a miserable night for Trent Robinson’s Roosters as their dismal start to the year continued as they were thrashed by Johnathan Thurston’s Cowboys.

It means the Roosters have now lost their opening three matches of the NRL season and are bottom of the league. An opening round defeat to Sam Burgess’ South Sydney Rabbitohs was followed by defeat to Canberra Raiders before the game with the Cowboys.
