Hodkinson pens 3 year deal with Knights

Canterbury Bulldogs and NSW Origin halfback, Trent Hodkinson has come to terms with the Newcastle Knights, signing a very lucrative 3 year deal, from 2016.

While higher representative honours have eluded him thus far, Hodkinson played in the victorious, New South Wales 2014 Origin squad, and has played all 3 Origin games again this year, .

At Newcastle, Hodkinson will slot in at half-back, alongside former Origin half, Jarrod Mullen.  With club stalwart Kurt Gidley departing at season’s end, to join the Super League club at Warrington, Trent is expected to become part of the club’s leadership group.

Former Knights’ player now club CEO, Matt Gidley said of the signing: “Trent is the current NSW halfback and has proven on many occasions, in grand finals and Origin matches, his ability to steer his team to victory.”
