Huby and Millington back for Castleford Tigers

Castleford Tigers have been handed a major injury boost ahead of their pivotal clash against Catalan Dragons on Saturday, after both Craig Huby and Grant Millington were included in Daryl Powell’s 19-man squad for the game.

Huby hasn’t played since the Challenge Cup final – when he featured for the Tigers just two weeks after dislocating an elbow in the semi-final against Widnes Vikings. Millington has been out for a longer period due to injury, but both look set to return at the perfect time, as the Tigers have suffered another double injury blow.

Prop Garreth Carvell and back-rower Frankie Mariano are out of the trip to France – with Mariano a real worry for boss Daryl Powell heading into the remainder of the season.

“Craig Huby and Grant Millington are in the squad so they replace Carvell and Mariano,” he said. “Garreth is still sore. He’s got a scan tonight but he hasn’t broken anything so he should be OK. It’s an aggrivation of a previous injury which is main issue. He’s had a bulging disc issue in the past and it go aggrivated when he got put on his back, so thankfully he’s OK.

“Mariano has an ankle injury from last week and we;ll find out tonight if he’s going to be available again for us this season. But it’s not looking great.”
