HUDDERSFIELD GIANTS head coach Jim Lenihan insists that out-of-contract players at his club can still earn new deals for 2027 with four games to go in this season.
Captain Adam Clune leads a clutch of senior players who do not have contracts for next year.
Tui Lolohea, Adam Swift, Jacob Gagai and Taane Milne are also yet to have their futures decided.
After spending most of the campaign rooted to the bottom of the Super League table, the Giants have won their last four fixtures.
And Lenihan says that nothing is set in stone, adding: “There are a lot of moving pieces for next year.
“Players are playing well, there’s a World Cup as well so players will be looking to get a call-up.
“We’ve still got a lot of movement in our squad and a lot of availability for players to keep working hard to ensure they are here next year.”
In terms of players incoming, Warrington Wolves forward Jordan Crowther has been linked with a move to Huddersfield for 2027.
Love Rugby League believe that the 29-year-old will be released by Warrington a year before his contract ends in order to join the Giants.
However, Lenihan held his cards close to his chest regarding that speculation.
“I haven’t really heard his name being brought up to us too much,” he said.
