LEWIS JAGGER has signed a two-year full-time deal with Huddersfield Giants.
The young outside back, who completed his first Academy year last season, debuted for Luke Robinson’s side team for Huddersfield’s final outing of 2025 against Leigh Leopards, where he scored.
Jagger, after signing the new deal, said: “I’m absolutely buzzing, it’s a dream come true for me and to finally have the contract signed, it’s a huge relief and now i can focus on working hard and building myself up to break into the first team in the future.
“I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity, after being injured in the first year of the scholarship, the club stood by me and it taught me resilience, very thankful for Steve for standing by me and now i’m in this position.”
Huddersfield boss Luke Robinson added: “He’s a local lad and thats who we want to be investing in at this club, a young English outside back, we put him in without any training sessions last year and look at how he performed.
“After he’s completed his A-levels we want him around the first team as much as possible, he can beat a man and when he gets older and bulks up he’ll be a massive threat to other teams.
“Lewis is a comfortable centre of full-back, and we see his talent and want him around the first team so he is able to learn and be guided from one of this clubs’ great outside backs in Leroy Cudjoe.”
