Hull KR chairman Neil Hudgell has distanced the club from reports linking them with Hull FC players Jacob Miller and Ben Crooks by insisting the Robins will not sign another player from their cross-city rivals.
“Hull is a great place for speculation and rumours, but I can categorically say we are not interested in Miller or Crooks, or any of their other players for that matter,” Hudgell told the Hull Daily Mail.
“In fact, the days of us signing any players from across the river are over for the foreseeable future as far as I’m concerned.
“We have appointed a new coach in Chris Chester and he has his own ideas about how he wants to play and what he wants to achieve during the duration of his three-year contract.
“We’ve been very fortunate to have signed very good players and club men in former FC players, none more so than our new coach himself, but we are now looking to build a culture that reflects the values of our supporters.
“Our fans are loyal, passionate and only interested in one club. Taking players from our nearest rivals doesn’t fit in with that brief.”
