Hull FC have confirmed that Garreth Carvell has been released from the remainder of his contract to further his career elsewhere.
The former Warrington forward joined the club from Bradford at the beginning of the season on a one-year deal, but failed to make an impact despite a promising start to his second spell at the club.
He has since joined Castleford Tigers on loan after being informed his contract would not be renewed by the Black and Whites at the end of the year.
He is now expected to make his move to the Tigers permanent.
