Hull FC boss Lee Radford is prepared to pay a transfer fee to prise Scott Taylor from Wigan Warriors, according to the Hull Daily Mail.
The 23-year-old, who was named in Steve McNamara’s England training side yesterday, joined Shaun Wane’s side from Hull KR in 2013 and won the double in his debut season.
He was signed to a two-year deal and the Warriors are said to be activating a clause in his contract that gives them a one-year mandatory extension. However, this is thought to be nothing more than a way of guaranteeing financial compensation from the Black and Whites.
Taylor is said to be set on a hometown return and wants to play for the club his family support.
The Airlie Birds already have eight props at their disposal and it’s thought Taylor’s arrival could see Liam Watts join Castleford.
