Hull KR: Josh Hodgson can’t get derby defeat off his mind

Hull KR hooker Josh Hodgson says he is still reeling from last week’s embarrassing 28-0 defeat in the Hull derby – and insists he will still be worrying about it until he moves to the NRL at the end of the season.

The 24-year-old, who won both player of the year and player’s player of the year at the Robins this season, was powerless in a disappointing display that saw the Black and Whites completely dominate what could be his last ever Hull derby.

“I’ll be beating myself up probably until I leave,” he told the Hull Daily Mail.

“I’d have snapped your hand off if you gave me the chance to replay the game the next day. I can’t keep dwelling on it forever though, it’s been and gone.

“Now I’ve just got to focus on these next two games to try to make us as competitive as we can be and go for these two wins.”
