Hull KR register comfortable victory over Bulls

Hull Kingston Rovers were comfortable victors over Bradford Bulls this afternoon at the KC Lightstream Stadium, winning 48-4 after leading 12-4 at half-time.

And the star of the show was Kieran Dixon, who had been moved to the right wing from fullback by coach Chris Chester and he rewarded his coach by scoring four tries, much to the delight of the Hull KR supporters, whose side ensured its safety as a Super League club with this victory.

In the first half, however, it was Josh Mantellato who starred with two tries, before Dixon scored his first, while James Mendeika had scored one for the Bulls.

In the second half the Robins added 36 points with seven more tries, three of them coming from Dixon, with the others coming from Dane Chisholm, Ken Sio, Kris Welham and Graeme Horne, with Mantellato adding two goals and Dixon converting his final try on the hooter at the end of the game.

A full report and photos will feature in Monday’s edition of League Express.
