Hull KR will not panic buy, says Chester

Chris Chester is adamant that he won’t panic buy after disappointing pre-season results.

An embarrassing 60-20 defeat to rivals Hull FC came just one week after a comprehensive defeat to fellow Super League side Huddersfield.

There are a number of injuries currently in the squad, including Kevin Larroyer who was ruled out for three months at the weekend.

Despite that, Chester insists there will only be movement in the market if the right player becomes available.

“We’re looking all over – myself and Jamie (Peacock, head of rugby) get players sent to us every single day,” Chester told The Hull Daily Mail.

“The player has just got to be the right quality and fit into the culture here. Myself and Jamie will sit down with the CEO Mike Smith and discuss our options.

“There is a bit of movement but not a great deal. We’ve got five quota spots and they’re completely full.”
