Hull reject Westerman to Salford links

Hull FC have rejected speculation linking Joe Westerman with a move to Salford Red Devils, with boss Lee Radford believing the 25-year-old will have returned from international duty with England an even better player.

Rumours surfaced online this week that Westerman was the latest target for the ambitious Red Devils, but according to the Hull Daily Mail, that speculation has been quashed – with Hull hoping that Westerman will sign a longer deal with the club, rather than be leaving.

And in terms of his spectacular form in 2014 – when Westerman didn’t miss a single Hull game – Radford told the HDM that Westerman’s game should hit even greater heights following his time with England at the Four Nations.

“You can see Joe learnt a lot from the England camp and the experience of being at the Four Nations,” said Radford.

“That’s great for him and in turn great for us too. I think there is much more to come from Joe, especially off the field and in and around the training ground. he’s certainly not reached his full potential yet.”
