Current Wigan Warriors assistant Iestyn Harris is expected to complete his move to Salford Red Devils this weekend.
Harris – who coached Wales during the 2013 Rugby League World Cup – will not be at Wigan’s game against Dewsbury this evening, with his move to the Devils looking like being completed early next week.
He will join a Devils coaching staff that already features head coach Brian Noble, Andy Hay and Sean Long. Australian Shane Flanagan will also be arriving in a consultancy role in the next two weeks, as Marwan Koukash continues to revamp the club following his purchase last year.
Harris was out of contract at the end of this season, but the Warriors have allowed the Welshman an early release from his deal to move to the Red Devils.
