Ikahihifo breaks jaw

Huddersfield Giants forward Sebastine Ikahihifo will miss the next eight weeks after breaking his jaw in the Giants’ defeat to Widnes last Sunday.

Giants coach Paul Anderson revealed that Ikahihifo initially thought his aching jaw was caused by a wisdom tooth.

“He was complaining of toothache Sunday night and Monday,” Anderson explained.

“We got him checked out Tuesday. We thought it was a wisdom tooth and it appeared he’s been X-rayed he’s been admitted straight away because he’s got a clean break of his jaw.”

He only joined the Giants from the St George Illawarra Dragons last month, but the 25-year-old will now miss two months.
