THE first anniversary of the tragic death of Dave Batchelor will be marked on Sunday (13 November) when Oulton Raiders, Leeds Masters and Boothtown will hold a Masters Festival.
The event will be hosted by Oulton, with an 11.45am start.
Dave Batchelor, a Leeds Masters player, guested for Boothtown at Oulton exactly 12 months ago but collapsed and died in the immediate aftermath of the game.
Organiser Steve Denton says: “As this is the first anniversary of the loss of Dave from the Rugby League family it would be great if people could get down on the day and support all involved.
“Monies raised will be used to help provide defibrillators for the amateur game.”
