Injury Corner: Concerns for Wakefield, Bradford, Hull KR and Leeds

WAKEFIELD TRINITY had to deal with adversity during their 26-12 loss to Wigan Warriors, suffering two injury losses.

Oliver Pratt suffered another hamstring injury on his return from more than two months out, while Matty Storton has damaged the medial collateral ligament in a knee.

However, that paled in comparison with the four injuries suffered by Bradford Bulls in their 62-10 mauling by Leigh Leopards on Friday.

Ethan Ryan (broken hand), Joe Keyes (bulging disc), Dan Russell (failed HIA), Loghan Lewis (leg) all join the extensive casualty list at Odsal.

Leigh, meanwhile, took David Armstrong off at half-time with a knee complaint which will now be assessed.

Hull KR not only went down 32-12 in a shock home defeat to Toulouse Olympique, but they suffered three injuries also.

Ryan Hampshire broke his wrist, James Batchelor injured his hamstring and Dean Hadley suffered a groin issue.

Leeds Rhinos made light work of York Knights on Sunday afternoon, with a 66-16 thrashing putting them back first.

However, they lost instrumental forward Cameron Smith to a quad injury, with Jake Connor also leaving the field early due to a calf issue, which coach Brad Arthur said was a “precaution”.
