Injury Corner: Nine Super League sides suffer concerns at Magic Weekend

LEIGH LEOPARDS will be hoping the knee injury sustained by Tesi Niu in their 24-6 win over Warrington Wolves isn’t too serious.

Niu left the field early against Warrington, with Sam Powell being sinbinned for a hip drop tackle in the process.

Leigh also finished without forwards Robbie Mulhern (unspecified) and Joe Ofahengaue (calf).

Warrington themselves suffered a problem with Max Wood (knee).

Meanwhile, Huddersfield Giants not only suffered a 36-24 defeat to York Knights, but Jim Lenihan was also left to rue injuries to Asher O’Donnell (leg) and Fenton Rogers (ankle), whilst Chris Patolo suffered a hefty head injury.

Castleford Tigers had a 48-6 loss to Wakefield Trinity compounded by losing Tyler Dupree and Brock Greacen to head knocks, Darnell McIntosh to a groin issue and Liam Hood to a neck problem.

Bradford Bulls lost Leon Ruan to a lower limb injury in the loss against Leeds Rhinos, whose winger Ryan Hall was taken off early with a foot injury.

Nathan Lowe limped off just after the half-hour for Wigan Warriors in their win over St Helens whilst Junior Nsemba also suffered a hamstring problem.

Alex Walmsley, George Delaney and Daryl Clark failed HIAs for Saints.

Davy Litten also failed his head test in Hull FC’s defeat to Hull KR.
