He’s been linked with a move to Super League for a good few months, but it looks like Terry Campese could finally be on his way to England – with Salford emerging as the most likely destination.
Moves to both Hull clubs had been mooted in recent months, but neither of those clubs ultimately signed the 30-year-old Canberra Raiders captain.
However, with his future at Canberra looking bleak, Campese’s agent has admitted that they have spoken to a number of clubs for 2015 – with Salford confirmed as one of the teams with whom discussions have been held, and that further talks will continue next week.
“I can confirm that I have spoken to Salford, amongst other clubs, about Terry Campese and possibilities for next year,” Campese’s manager Jim Banaghan said to Australian media.
“I will be sitting down with Terry on Monday to go through a number of offers we have received.”
