Willie Isa has revealed that he was like a nervous schoolboy heading into his first day at Wigan.
The former Widnes Vikings star has made Wigan’s Orrell training facility his new home after undergoing treatment on an ongoing elbow injury sustained earlier in the year.
However, Isa admitted that he was a jittering wreck ahead of the first official day of pre-season.
“Starting day one was still like going back to school,” said Isa.
“It was nerve-racking, I didn’t know how to act and I’m not really one who talks much.
“But the boys have been really welcoming and I’m getting to know them.”
