Former London Broncos and current Penrith Panthers half-back Jamie Soward is heading back to the UK – and it could be with the Broncos.
The maverick half has secured a release from his deal at the Panthers effective immediately according to reports in Australia, and he is on the verge of agreeing a deal with an English side just hours before the transfer deadline this season.
Clubs have until June 30 to sign any incoming players for the remainder of the season, and the 31-year-old is set for a second stint in the country.
Soward was previously with the Broncos for a short spell in 2013 and he certainly caught the eye, and reports are now emerging online that the 31-year-old could be going back to the capital:

St Helens were also rumoured to be among the sides interested in the services of the half-back, and Soward had tweeted earlier this year that he was flattered to be linked with the Saints, saying:
