KEVIN SINFIELD has revealed the full route for his seventh and final annual challenge as he prepares to visit every English Super League club in a week.
The Leeds Rhinos great turned fundraising hero announced in December that this would be his last epic run for motor neurone disease (MND) causes.
It’s an appropriate finish with the number seven – worn at Leeds by best friend Rob Burrow, who died in 2024 after living with MND – at the heart of all his challenges, which have so far raised more than £11 million.
In the week leading up to the Grand Final at Old Trafford on Saturday, October 3, Sinfield and a group of fellow runners will complete seven successive ultra marathons.
Starting at Hull KR’s Sewell Group Craven Park on Sunday, September 27, they will also take in the MKM Stadium before seeing York’s LNER Community Stadium on day two.
Tuesday, September 29 will involve visits to Castleford’s OneBore Stadium and Wakefield’s DIY Kitchens Stadium.
Sinfield will be at his old AMT Headingley home on Wednesday, September 30, as well as Bradford’s Bartercard Odsal and the Accu Stadium in Huddersfield.
After a day travelling from Huddersfield to Salford, Sinfield will take in the BrewDog Stadium in St Helens, the Progress With Unity Stadium in Leigh, and The Brick Community Stadium in Wigan on Friday, October 2.
Warrington’s Halliwell Jones Stadium then forms part of the route back east to reach Old Trafford in time for the Grand Final kick-off – evoking memories of Sinfield’s half-time entrance there at the World Cup Final of 2022.
Each leg will see Sinfield and his team complete a mile alongside those impacted by MND.
The six charities who will benefit from the funds raised are the MND Association, Leeds Hospitals Charity, My Name5 Doddie Foundation, Darby Rimmer Foundation, MND Scotland and the Irish MND Association.
Sinfield, who will wear shirts inspired by each team’s strips as he passes the respective grounds, explained: “We want to visit as many Rugby League communities along the way as we can – it feels the right way to finish these challenges.”
The former England star says he will continue to support the MND community in different ways after completing his last run.
