Koukash: Red Devils have no interest in Todd Carney

Salford Red Devils owner Dr Marwan Koukash insists his club have no interest in signing disgraced NRL half-back Todd Carney, who was released by Cronulla Sharks last week after an unsuitable image of him circulated on social media.

It is the third time Carney has been sacked by an NRL club, and many believe a move to Super League is now his only option. Most had Salford has favourites to land his signature, but the imminent arrival of Michael Dobson, the form of Rangi Chase and Theo Fages, and the fact Marc Sneyd’s future hasn’t yet been decided, means the Red Devils are not in the running.

Indeed, Koukash tweeted last night: “We have no interest in Todd Carney.”
