LEEDS RHINOS head coach Brad Arthur is “aware” of the situation involving their former player Morgan Gannon in the NRL, but that he won’t comment on it at present.
Earlier in the week, Love Rugby League reported that Gannon was searching a return to Super League despite signing a three-year deal with New Zealand Warriors.
The 22-year-old has made just one NRL appearance for the Warriors, but he has impressed in the New South Wales Cup competition, scoring three tries in five games.
Prior to his move Down Under, Gannon made 73 appearances for the Rhinos, scoring 14 tries.
When asked about the current situation unfolding in the NRL, Arthur kept his cards close to his chest in respect for Gannon.
“We are aware of the situation,” Arthur said.
“But, I think it is too early to make comments about it because I know it’s a personal issue with him at the moment.
“It’s better off leaving it out of the public eye.”
