Leeds Rhinos boss Brad Arthur linked with fresh move to NRL

LEEDS RHNOS head coach Brad Arthur is yet again being linked with a move to the NRL – this time to the Wests Tigers.

Arthur has made no secret of his desire to return to the NRL one day, with his inking of a new one-year deal for 2026 at the Super League club only set to turn the rumour mill once more next season.

However, with the Perth Bears vacancy landing at Mal Meninga’s feet, things had recently gone quiet – that is until the drama at Wests has unfolded.

The Holman Barnes Group has taken over at the Tigers and has so far axed chairman Barry O’Farrell, three other directors and chief executive Shane Richardson.

Now head coach Benji Marshall is said to be in the firing line, according to The Mole at the Wide World of Sports.

The Mole has reported that the Holman Barnes Group has named Arthur as Marshall’s potential successor, but such a move could have vast consequences at the Concord club.

The possible loss of Marshall could trigger several of the Tigers’ star players to leave the club.

“The Tigers need to think very carefully about their next move,” a player manager told The Mole.

“The players are already confused and concerned by all the changes in personnel that have been going on.

“Benji is a players’ coach and the guys are very close to him.

“If he goes, players will feel less inclined to stay.”
